Taux : - I bought this product because I have a car with a huge dashboard (a Jeep Grand Cherokee) and it was difficult to reach the unit when it was mounted on the windshield. This keeps my GPS in place on the dash even when I'm driving through the mountain roads that are a fact of life at Lake Tahoe. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone.

Taux : - I have the Garmin Street Pilot and have the choice of attaching it to the windscreen or to the dashboard. Both options are ok but I was very concerned for the unit when it kept falling from the windscreen. I checked out Garmin's website and according to them this thing sticks like glue to the dashboard due to the weighted ends. After purchasing this and trying it out, let me tell you, it works. I have taken bends, turns, bumps and every other form of disruption in the car to see if the Garmin would fly across the dashboard. This mount held like it was glued down. It uses nothing more than friction and weight. The Garmin attaches and detaches easily from the mount. And you can move the mount around the dashboard just by picking it up and moving it. No fixing, no sticking, just dump it on the dashboard and go. Thats the pros. The cons? None. Except, why don't Garmin supply this as standard with the unit and dump the other fixtures?

Taux : - This thing really does stay put on my dashboard. Beats trying to affix my StreetPilot on the windshield (it would never stay put).

Taux : - The suction cup which attached to the window worked fine for about a year, then it failed repeatedly causing the GPS unit to thud onto the dashboard while driving. This unit solves the problem, and works reasonably well. I deduct one star because I find that over sharp speed bumps the unit slides down the dashboard (though I'm driving a large SUV, not a smooth as silk luxury car). A velcro attachment to the dashboard would likely fix this.

Overall a good buy.

Taux : - A little bit bulky, but great for the dashboard. Would be even better if they provided a way to velcro the holder down.

Taux : - My TomTom 720 mount broke where the clear plastic suction point attached to the black plastic frame. I tried to fix it, but it didn't last long.

After careful research and considering several alternatives, I found this to be the best, and least expensive alternative.

I was impressed with the build quality. I thought the handle to attach the suction part to the window, and the actual suction area was far better than TomTom's original part. I had to use part of the old TomTom mount to make this work, but that is how it is designed. (The part where the TomTom mounts to, detaches from the swivel point, and attaches to this part.)So don't bother if you don't have your old mount. I thought it worked really well, because you can use the part with the Tomtom plugs and electrics, but get a better suction point. You also seem to have all the same swivel flexibility to ensure you can mount the device just how you want to.

So now I have a suction mount that works even better than the original. It also is available with an extra dash mounted plate, so you can switch cars. I didn't need that feature since both of my cars I attach the GPS to the window.

Taux : - .....About the best thing I have ever bought! So says my bride of 32 years(numerous times). I used to have to hold my GPS in place, and it continually slid around. I finally broke down and paid the $$ and got this mount.
.....NOTE you MUST ALSO get the mount and cradle combination to connect this to your GPS unit!!! While this seems like a ply to separate you from more of your cash, you will quickly realize how much better this makes your life. My GPS has not slid off the dash even once with this mount, and I can get in some rough areas off road at times. I am VERY satisfied.

Taux : - I bought this dash mount and my satisfation with my Garmin has increased 100 fold. I was tired and frustrated by my Garmin always falling because the suction mount that comes standard would fail after only about 15 minutes. This dash mount works great. I've even packed it in my luggage to use when I travel and have to rent a car. Pack the Garmin itself in your care-on though!

Taux : - The three-fingered mount works well on the dash, but the Mounting Bracket and Mounting Bracket Adapter are not included. You must already have the other Garmin Auto Mount, part no. 010-10456-00, which does include both of those mounting brackets. (Luckily I had one in the other truck.) And use the screw from the belt clip to attach the mounting bracket adapter to the GPS-60 series.

Taux : - Great solution for the suction mounts that never stay attached. This mount stays put and is easy to move to other vehicles.

Taux : - I did order this unit however,after getting it I realized it did not come with a mounting bracket(and you can not buy those separate) so I ask for a return thru Antonline and they would not provide because I had opened the product package(duh??) -so Amazon stepped in with their A-Z guarantee and made it right-however I did reorder the exact same three finger mount that was exactly for my C340 and it came with a mounting bracket and it is fantastic -so easy to switch between our autos and holds the GPS very securely in place. Definitely recommend it over the suction cup mount.

Taux : - Mount was built decently. I also have the windshield mount and an atv handlebar mount. They are all based off of the same "clip style" mount.

Taux : - The Magellan eXplorist Swivel Mounting Bracket works as advertized. Not a massively robust unit by way of construction but well designed. It does the job it's intended for with few problems. I would have given it 4 stars if it were built stronger.

Taux : - I was puzzled before purchasing this item, because no where in the descriptions does it explain how this device attaches to your car or if the bottom of the unit is a large rubber suction cup or what? The photo doesn't answer that question either.

So now that I purchased one, and know, I will answer it.

The bottom of this mount is just a flat plastic bottom with four holes so you can attach it with screws to something. (or you can attach velcro to it, and velcro it to something)

I was not about to screw this device into the dash of my car!

I also don't like the idea of sticking velcro to the dash either, so I was holding it all around the interior of the car wondering where I was going to put this thing...

And then I saw the cup holder!

The cup holder in my car slides in and out of the dash, and when it is pulled out, this device sat on top of it and I could hold it to the cup holder with one big rubber band and it didn't fall out or move around all day driving with it holding the GPS in place. Then I got another idea...

Why not attach this device onto something that can slide in and out of the cup holder like a cup does.

You can take any plastic cup or small jar that has a top that attaches securely or screws on. Then bolt this device onto the lid with 4 screws, and screw the lid onto the jar or cup, and then you just slide the whole contraption into a cup holder when you need it. This device allows you to position the GPS at every possible angle so you can have it looking right at you no matter where your cup holder is located.

If the four holes in the bottom plate of this device are too far apart for the lid you are using, you can always drill new holes closer in. Or expoxy the whole thing to whatever you have that fits in your cup holder nice and snug.

There are many cheap heavy duty plastic car mugs you can find with thick plastic lids that are wide enough for this device and the cups taper off to a smaller diameter at the bottom to fit into car cup holders that can be used for this project.

Taux : - I bought one of these to mount my Garmin Nuvi 755T GPS. The item description and photograph for this item are not accurate. Firstly, the photo shows a ball-end mount where devices can be attached. The item came with a rectangular square plate and screws that you have to bolt onto the device being mounted. Secondly, the description states that it is "compatible with all Garmin(r) Nuvi(r)" devices. This is absolutely false. Maybe with the ball end as shown in the photo. Maybe. But definitely not with the screw-on mounting plate provided.

Taux : - This product works. Requires screwing GPD onto GPS mount but includes a knob for GPS if you lost the original. Good quality/fit, only negative, can't use powercord with GPS mount... I ended up cutting a hole for AC/DC adapter. Easy to mount/remove GPS from Bicycle mount.

Taux : - Me and my wife just finished a self contained bike tour of the blue ridge parkway and this mount stayed strong throughout the entire ride (I broke a magellen mount on a similar ride a few years ago). It does fit a bit tight on your handlebars, and keep in mind it is made for 1 inch tubing (i.e. not the OS/1 1/8"" tubing that comes with a lot of newer bike handlebars).

Taux : - Got this for my Expedition C. I had another RAM mount for my older Lowrance unit, but they needed different cradles. I got a suction cup mount since my older one is for clamping to tubes, and with RAM these are all interchangeable, so now I have 2 mounting methods for both units.

Suction cup sticks tight to the windshield, you twist a flap on the base of it and it draws it in, and then locks tight. Overall it seems to be good quality like my older RAM mount, everything is solid when tightened down.

Taux : - I took a trip with my truck to try it out. It really is a nice GPS with a lot of features. The menues make sense when you try to find different features.The suction cup mount is solid and held well. The display is clear. I loved the mp3 player and the way it stops the song and announces the upcoming turn. I hooked mine up to the radio through the aux. jack. Navigating the screen was a little tedious if you were on the move but it got easyer as you learned where stuff was. Some things I did not care for are:
1.If you are using a dark icon to represent where you are on the map it is difficult to see at night if you have the screen in the dark mode. I had to change it to a light colored icon.(no big deal)
2. The text to speech was choppy sometimes. This made it hard to react at interstate speeds when your eyes were on the road.
3.FM transmitter was poor. (I've never seen a good one yet. They have a weak signal. Laws limit output power)
4. I went to update the map to 2009. You get a free map upgrade to the latest map. This is nice because maps are about $70.00. That's when the problems started. I downloaded the 1.9 Gig file. Everything went smooth till it tried to update the map file. I would get an error and the update would fail. I re-downloaded the map file in case it got corrupted when I downloaded it the first time. I tried it with Windows XP,Vista and Windows 7 with the same results. Worse yet it corrupted the files on the GPS. Local streets were missing and highway names would be spelled in part english and part foreign charicters. I sent a problem report to Garmin but not being one to give up I tried updating with an old laptop I had laying around and it updated without a hitch. Now I am happy again.
I do not have a bluetooth phone but that looks like a handy feature.
I like the SD memory card slot for extra storage. When you plug your GPS into your computer the Nuvi and the SD card act like external hard drives. You drag and drop stuff onto the drives. It is simple.
Typing in an address is easy. The verbal turn instructions came in time to make the turn and when you turned it suggested staying to the left or right lane if you had another turn coming up quickly. Handy if your on the city freeway. I could recieve satalite signals in parts of my basement. Prety Impressive. Overall I am pretty happy with this GPS. At the pesent time I will not use the bluetooth feature. I will also not use the picture viewer or some of the other gadjets. Would I pay $500.00 for this thing? No. Would I pay $226.00. I think it's worth that. I will take it for another test run with the updated maps and see if the choppy voice was fixed.

Taux : - This is the best mount option available in the market today for atleast Garmin Nuvi 360 ... I have installed this in my toyota corolla 2009 ... It is just a foot away from the driving position ... I can operate my GPS easily and without any risks ... The only issue I found is to remove the mount from the vent ... But again ... we don't do it often ... 4 cheers for this product ...

Taux : - Didn't work for my car (landrover), or my mom's car (toyota corolla), or my fiances car (yukon). It just pointed down towards the floor with each of them. However, if it fits for your car it would be a good thing to have, so the gps isn't attached to the window. I went back to using my friction mount, which I love.

Taux : - Look VERY carefully at the picture for this product. Note 3 things:
1) The louvers are horizontal
2) The louvers are FIXED (do not adjust up or down)
3) The position of the louvers in relationship to the driver.

Let's look at these three areas more closely...

1) There are two support posts on the back of the mount which will go over and attach to the top horizontal louver... so the louver MUST be horizontal.
2) If the louvers are NOT fixed (up or down), the weight of the Garmin unit will cause the mount along with your Garmin to hang flacidly downward in a position where you can't see the screen (it will face the floor).
3) The mounting bracket swivels left and right... but not up or down. Therefore, if the position of your vents are too high or too low in relationship to the driver, you might be disappointed in your ability to see the screen clearly in different light conditions.

However.....

If you meet all the above criteria, this IS the unit for YOU! I loved mine... I just wish someone had told me about the "fixed", non-adjustable (up or down) louver requirement...

Of importance to note: When I realized this was not the unit for me, I e-mailed the seller, and was cheerfully and promptly issued an RMA and a refund. So, even if this is not the right unit for you, (there are others)... I recommend this seller very highly.

Taux : - I bought this vent mount for my garmin nuvi 350. It's an ok product if you don't mind the thing jiggling aroung on your a/c vent. Appearantly it's not desingned for every car exactly. Despite the adjustment features it has it still can not maintian a steady footing on my a/c vent. And it was not easy to remove from the vent. Overall not a good buy. I wouldn't waste the money.

Taux : - Well, for one thing, my copy came with no instructions so it's hard to know what the manufacturer had in mind. Apparently one is supposed to attach the two clips to a horizontal vent piece and use the adjustable prop to stabilize against the dash. The clips are a pain to pull out, though (one feels like one is going to shred either the vent or the holder), and the intended use of the prop is ambiguous. Basic design isn't hopeless, but execution oughtta be better. Try again.

Taux : - This product MAY work but I really don't know because mine was defective and didn't sit straight. It doesn't really swivel 360 degrees without yanking on the item, which only serves to make it come loose from the vent to which it is installed. It's not worth the money and the seller doesn't refund shipping for defective items. They are a "drop shipper" so they don't have control of their products. This is always a bad situation. I say, pass on this one.

Taux : - Yes, it is a quality product from end to end. Nice and sturdy and mostly all metal parts, except the GPS cradle itself, which seems to be a kind of high impact, fiber reinforced plastic.

I sort of wish that the arm didn't telescope out so far from the handlebar mounting base, however the arm articulation is rather nice for putting it exactly where it is easiest to clearly see when riding.

Ram makes good stuff. Much sturdier and easier to use than the Garmin brackets.

Taux : - It works but it's the third one I've had to buy. When it falls off the window it has a tendency to break. Not many options if you need to fit it to the Garmin. Price was great at 1/2 what others wanted.

Taux : - I have a Road-mate 700. Updated to a 760 by down loading took four hours, cost $99.00 now has all the perks the 760 has. The unit still has the smaller hard drive all around. The unit has served me well with very minor miss step on unknown dead end streets. It is now supposedly loaded with maps of Hawaii, United states,Canada,Mexico, Puerto Rico.
In California it is not permitted to stick any thing to the windshield glass. I have a mount for the air conditioner louvers, this will cool down the unit and in four hours the unit will shut down,it takes about three hours for it to warm up,[ don't throw it out the window yet] then your on off switch will work. If the air conditioner is not used then you are home free.
I would never go to any unknown areas with out it. This I believe to be one of the best units available I love it, and I give it Five stars,it's now out of production,, how sad.

Though guy at Beach Audio said he would send me UPS shipping labels to return the items, no other attempts were made to satisfy the customer, nor have I received the shipping labels. The burden to correct this should not be left with the customer. Do not buy this item from Beach Audio.

Taux : - I've heard California law will soon be changed so that we can mount our GPS devices to the windshield. I'd like to say that I think this is better than the windshield. For some reason, I feel like my vision is more obstructed when I mount the GPS on the windshield. This is nicer, because not only is my GPS mounted in an easy to view area, I can just pick it up and put the whole thing under my tray when I want my GPS out of sight. No need to mess with the suction mount.

It is a nice solid weight that helps it grab my dashboard. No worry at all that my GPS will slide off.

Just mount the suction in the middle of the Navmat and you're off. Actually, that part wasn't so easy for me. I finally realized I needed to move it off-center for it to grip, because the little raised circle in the middle kept it from suctioning. Don't know why they put that there. It's better to move the TomTom One back anyway because it sits so low that if it is centered, then it hits the bumper when I try to position it vertically.

This is an attractive gadget. Even when California law changes, I will contintue using it. Nice.

Taux : - Bought one of these on spec for my Nuvi650. Works like charm; simple, effective, practical. Every now and then the suction cup releases but you simply re-attach. In the 6 mos I have used this, I did this 3x.
Only downside to some might be the weight; it is bit heavy, but I keep mine always fasted to the mount and 12v charger, in the between-seat compartment, then just mount up the 650, plug in the charger, and it's ready to go. It is a better friction mount than the Garmin one; more stable.

Taux : - This is an excellent way to have a portable mount
for a GPS unit. It holds very securely to even a sloped
dash. Too bad it is on the expensive side. Watch for
different prices from various sellers.

Taux : - I purchased this Marine Mount for my Garmin eTrex Vista Cx GPS unit. This GPS unit has an internal micro CD card that's mounted next to the batteries inside. Unfortunately, the mounting cover that comes with the Marine Mount that's supposed to replace the original battery cover on the unit does not accommodate the CD card access area so it won't fit. I managed to drill away the excess plastic to force fit the cover, but I don't think it's water resistant anymore. This should only be a problem for the Cx unit. Buyer beware.

Taux : - I bought this mounting arm 2 days before a spring break road trip. I had never used this device for long trips and didn't want to hold it or leave it in the seat. Our road trip covered the desert temps, as well as the snow covered mountains of Flagstaff, AZ. Not ONCE, did the mounting arm come loose from the windshield and fall. Even through all the road vibrations the arm stuck like a rock!. For my Ford truck, the arm worked great and I just moved it up the windshield to make it stick out a bit farther without blocking my line of sight on the road.

I would recommend this to other owners without a second thought!

Taux : - The first problem that the flexible stem mounting kit solved wasn't even mentioned in the description: unlike the suction cup that came with my Tom Tom One XL-S, this suction device, using a lever method, holds with a death grip. No more having my GPS fall onto the accelerator pedal.

Second, the length and maneuverability of the 7" gooseneck allows me the flexibility to bring the GPS higher (above the Bracketron) and closer to me. It's a product that turns out to be even more useful than you had hoped.

This mount is much more stable than the one that came with the gps. Taux : - The documentation nor the listings tell you that this GPS mount base is only of use for very deep flat dashboards. If you do not have that klind of surface, this enormous mount base will not fit and is therefore useless.

Most cars do not have that kind of large flat surface (our Toyota Avalon nor our Nissan Quest would fit this), so no one with a GPS owning those cars should buy this

The reason I purchased this was to connect it to my motorcycle and it has everything you need to attach the unit to a RAM mount as well as connect it directly into the 12 volt power system on the bike. Quality is great, the cradle is solid with a locking tab, power cable is fused and easy to connect.

For a RAM mount cradle, it is a great piece of gear and cannot be any easier to assemble and connect.

Taux : - This item looks great in the picture and looks like it might work but wait a second!!You need to look at how your gonna position this thing.I bought this item for my Garmin Nuvi 750 and it is just useless.You plug the mount into the lighter but the weight of the GPS alone causes the mount to bounce up and down like a bungee cord.The item looks and feels strong when you receive it but the weight and leverage of the gps makes the item very useless.I almost thought this thing was gonna rip the lighter socket out of my truck because its bounces around so much.If you were to hit one good bump this thing would probably dislodge itself from the 12v socket and smack you in the head which may not be a bad thing because you deserved it for buying this piece of junk in the first place.If you were to maybe fold the adjustable stem up into a ball shape then maybe this thing might work but if you had to do that,then your missing the point in why you bought this mount in the first place!If you want smacked in the head or want your 12v socket ripped out or possibly like trying to read a gps that bounces around like a basketball then this product is for you!! Taux : - It it flimsy, bad quality and simply a bad investment. Try to buy some other holding method because with this one, you can't enter anything in your GPS as it swivels even when you don't want it to. Can't tighten it enough for it to be usable. slides along the air-vents, and damages them.

Taux : - I didn't like the idea of the "permanent" mount of the Magellan GPS provided with the unit. I purchased this to allow me to lower the unit to a point where I can see it easier. When I received the mount, I couldn't figure out how to get it to mount in the vents on my Dodge products. I placed it on the middle vent near the bottom so that the lower stabilizer arm stuck downward onto the area below the vent. Then I turned the two hangers so that they faced inward and hooked them over the back portion of the vent. It was not easy to do, but it works. The option to use the beanbag type did not appeal to me because they mount on top of the dash, which is illegal in some states and too far away for me to see or reach it. On the vent, my spouse can turn it to her side and enter addresses etc. as we go.

Taux : - This is a great idea (in theory), but it's cheaply made and the plastic isn't strong enough to do the job. It doesn't work on all vents, and it breaks too easily. I stopped using it and bought one of the weighted dashboard pads for my GPS instead - a big improvement.

Taux : - This little vent mount has been working great for me. Now, make sure you have a car with horizontal air vent slats. Otherwise, I'm not so sure it can be adjusted for you.

But this keeps my Maestro 4250 at eye level and supports it quite well. I've been very happy with it.

Taux : - The service of the seller was great! Very fast shipping! But unfortunately this item does not work properly on my 2001 Volvo S40. The clips are not strong enough to grip the vent louvers, therefore, the weight of the GPS unit pulls the mount forward and it eventually falls off, especially while driving.

Small footprint with black circle plastic base. Base is screwed into boat. Put mine on the left side of the center console. Rest of mount can be easily removed with a plastic head screw. Just make sure you put the base where you want it the first time and naturally use stainless screws if on the salt.

This one has a much superior window clamp than the one supplied by TomTom. Once clamped, it is there. Not so with the TomTom kit.

Taux : - Had mine for about six weeks. I found it broken on the floor of my car one morning. When securing the unit , a significant amount of force is needed to turn the lever to adhere the suction cup to the glass. This amount of force is apparently to much for the main frame and over time.... device failure. The gps unit was not mounted at the time so no additional weight contributed to the mounting bracket failing. Seems like a weak design... until some manufacturing changes are made to make it stronger I can't say I would recommend this product.

Taux : - Very poorly constructed. While the vehicle was parked it came off the window and bounced to the floor. Two parts of the plastic broke rendering it completely useless.

Taux : - I have loved this mount. It attaches firmly to the windshield and can be adjusted to just about any position. I use it with my Rino530 and it holds the weight just perfect. I don't have to fish around my center console anymore to find my GPS and it holds it right where I can see it easily while navigating.

Taux : - Fits the product nice and snug and seems of good quality. So far so good according to the husband.

Taux : - This mount works great. We've used it for our Garmin for over two months now. There was one day that we walked outside and the mount was lying on the dash board. It could have just gotten bumped or something though because it hasn't happened again. (We don't leave our Garmin hanging in it, though, when we're not in the car.) Make note also that this says it's for Rino 110 & 120's but it is also for the Rino 520 & 530's as well. Taux : - The Bluetooth dock has plenty of power and works great in my car. It is small and unobtrusive. I use it with my laptop and my PDA.

Taux : - I bought this because it was recommend by microsoft for use with Streets and Trips. As already mentioned it does not work with Streets and trips on Vista. It does however work well with Garmin PC. A few things I'm not happy about. The blue led is to bright when you have the unit on your dash at night and it does not work while you are charging it... very annoying.

Update: The unit does not work while charging until the battery has been charged for 15 minutes after being fully discharged.

Taux : - Works great with Blackberry 8700. Also works great with Google Maps With GPS Tracker 13.0 (Shareware software). Doesn't work at all with Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008 running on Windows Vista - Apparently Streets & Trips 2008 has problems with half-duplex bluetooth serial port communications... Shame on you Microsoft.

I recommend the Pharos BT dock IF you don't plan to use it with Streets and Trips on Vista.

Recharges quickly, small, great design, no wires to fight with. Great product, highly recommend. Would buy it again for any price, well worth investment. Can't think of a way to make it any better, no complaints.

Taux : - I mounted my Garmin etrex Venture HC to the handlebar of my Yamaha XT225 dualsport motorcycle using this RAM mount.
Installation was straightforward, and the ball mount let's me adjust to many different positions. This was really helpful, as free space is scarce on the handlebar, limiting my options for where to attach it.
This mount holds my GPS unit firmly, allowing no noticeable vibration. I even dropped my bike at 25mph when I hit a patch of ice on a dirt road, and the GPS stayed perfectly still, out of harm's way. I am impressed.
I also like how easy it is to remove my GPS unit from the mount. When I park the bike in public, I do not want to leave the GPS out in the open for someone to snag, and removing it from this mount is as easy as pulling open the two tabs at the top.
Great product!

Taux : - The unit overall works pretty well. Holds firm and looks nice. I didn't really like the lower mounting hardware (U bolts, nuts), it seemed to be a little less than the rest of the unit, thats why I took one star, but it works OK. I would buy again for sure. Lots of positions are a plus. The biggest drawback is that the GPS made for this unit has a screen that is too small to see much when on a moving motorcycle, but of course this is not a problem with this mount.

Taux : - I've used two other handlebar mounts to secure Garmin GPS devices to my dirt bike's bars. This is the first one that's actually impressed me.

The RAM mount holds the GPS right where you want it with very little vibration.

You can quickly adjust the bracket's arm to position the GPS wherever you want it (almost).

The mount itself (the part that actually holds the GPS) is firm enough to securely hold the GPS with no worries that it might fall out, but it's also really simple to insert and remove the GPS. The top fingers of the mount spread apart with a little pressure and the GPS just slides out (no tools or adjustments required).

My only complaint is that the bracket's arm swivels to any position you want, but once you have it positioned, you can't necessarily rotate the GPS in every direction (tilt up/down, tilt side to side, and rotate clockwise/counterclockwise), so you sometimes have to compromise between the angle of the GPS and the position of the arm. The workable positions aren't infinite, but there are enough good positions that it's not hard to find one that's OK.

I'm not an engineer, so I don't know how they could improve that without sacrificing the security of the bracket arm's connection and the ease of adjustment.

So it's actually 4.75 stars, but I'll give it a 5.

Taux : - Purchased this product due to the fact that I didn't know what I really needed. The only reason I didn't give this product a 5 star was due to the u-bolt that mounts it to the handle bars wasn't coated with anything, so the handle bars will probable have a scratch when I take it off. The product works great for my Garmin Etrex Legend. I used it for several long rides and it was nice to be able to adjust it to any angle. This is a nice item that works well.

Taux : - The description on this mount would be more accurate if it just stated that it was a car vent mount for the Garmon Nuvi Series. I was charged with buying a Nuvi 255W and a vent mount for a gift. I took a chance on this one as the model I bought was not listed in the description. Having never laid eyes on the items in the Nuvi package, I just couldn't figure out how the GPS was supported this "ball on a clip" but every mount for the Nuvi had this ball. I finally found a site with a picture of the cradle that comes with the Nuvi. The ah ha moment. The cradles that come with the Nuvi support this "ball". I now have both in my posession and have determined that this product will work with the Nuvi 255W. It will probably also work with any GPS in the Nuvi series.

Taux : - I just got my car vent mount for my Nuvi 650 and installed it in my Highlander in about 30 seconds - I love it!!! So much better than the suction cup that came with the unit and I didn't like the "bean bag" look. Highly recommend!

Taux : - I got this product because some states (like California) have made it illegal to use the windshield mounts. It does snap into the cradle alright, but not with the car charger cord installed. I consider this a design flaw, so be advised if you're going on a long trip where you'd need to charge the unit with the car charger.

Taux : - I was excited to receive my mount just 3 days after ordering it (the fastest I'd ever received anything off of Amazon doing standard shipping!) As soon as I ripped open that little box, it wasn't but just a couple of minutes that I had the vent mount assembled and ready to go - I really didn't even need to read the directions, but made sure to double check them before I attached the mount to my vent (I have an '06 Corolla, which luckily comes with horizontal slats on the vents).

I only bought a GPS (Nuvi 660) for an upcoming vacation to a different state. After buying such an expensive piece of equipment, I was rather unimpressed with the suction cup mount that it came with. I checked into the beanbag mount at local retailers, but found they were $30+ to purchase. I didn't like how they looked and thought they might fall off just as easy, plus it seems like a huge attraction to thieves that my GPS is just sitting up there for all to see. So, you can imagine my surprise when I jumped online and found something that attaches to my vent and for only $10! Even if it didn't work, it didn't seem like such a big waste of money & time.

The vent mount turned out to be worth my money. It was easy to clip on, pop on my GPS, and go! They say the stabilzing bar is optional to use, but I definitely had to use it to keep the vent from moving downward because of the weight. It was easy to remove the GPS off the mount and just as easy to detach the mount off the vent. I don't have much advice to offer if you have vertical slats on your vents, but when looking at the mount, it doesn't seem like it would be hard to adjust with a little bit of creative maneuvering.

All in all, I highly recommend this product for the price it sells at. I couldn't be any happier with my purchase!

Taux : - I bougth one of these about two years ago and was pleased with it. In Dec. 2007 I purchased two more. The new ones have a different design that is totally useless. It is a sawtooth friction that will not allow you to adjust the friction and it will not support the weight of the Garmin 650. It just falls all the way forward. When I rotated it 90 degrees so that it would only have to support rotating it horizonally I had similar problems.

Taux : - I searched high and low for a product that could hold iPods and iPhones IN THEIR CASES, yet be sturdy, reliable and well designed AND ROTATE. This is it. Perfect in every regard; superbly engineered, solidly constructed, insanely easy to use - it's as intuitive a design as an Apple product. It moves easily from one vehicle to another. The side arms adjust easily and lock into place, holding the Touch fast in a foamy grip; a simple button push releases it. bottom support arms also pivot a full 360º allowing you to accomodate any line out, and shape of product or case.
The swivel turns my Touch into gold. Can turn iPod Touch landscape, scroll through cover view, pick an album, play, turn touch upright. I can broiwse the internet in a parking lot with my hands elsewhere. I can watch music videos stuck in traffic. per. fect. shun.

Taux : - My mount broke in 5 minutes. The latch for securing it to the windshield is a ratchet design unlike most others. The company said they had few problems with it and replaced it without any hesitation. So far the replacement is working well.

Taux : - Mounts correctly to be seen easily but out of the way of operating your bike.

Taux : - This is a nice sturdy mount for the ONE and only the Tom Tom ONE it will not work for the new models which is why mine was retured. The only thing undesirable about it is the included ubolt for mounting it is plain steel ( as listed before in other review ). Again this mount is ONLY for the older model Tom Tom ONE's 1st 2nd or 3rd edition NOT the newer styles.

Taux : - I am quite pleased with this product. The price was very low, so I was afraid it may be a generic knock off. It turned out to be a genuine Garmin product, and fits my GPS perfectly. The shipping was fast too!

Taux : - I bought this for my 2005 Suzuki Boulevard c50 motorcycle. Fits right in between the original risers, center on the handlebar. It rides a little close to the gas tank however that should get better after I install new risers. The plastic is a little flimsy(maybe flexible is a better word) but not enough to worry. The GPS placement is well balanced on this mount. I still loop the GPS through the lanyard around the handlebar before I mount it, just in case.

Taux : - This mount survived a week on the ICW including a 35 knot thrash up the Chesapeake Bay. It attached easily to the round hand rail above the binnacle at the helm, within easy view. It has 2 pieces, a handle bar bracket and a GPS unit bracket that snap together. The handle bar bracket has a rubber insert, so once it was installed, it was secure, and never moved or rotated. The GPS bracket has locking pins so that the GPS unit cannot accidently slide out of the bracket. The attachment of the GPS bracket to the handle bar bracket is positive and gives a loud click so that you know it is secure. It is well designed, and was sturdier than I expected.

Taux : - The bike mount is solid although.. whomever designed it... did not design it for a current bicycle. The bike mount is made for a handle bar with a 1" or 1.25" diameter handle bar. Something no one mentions in the specs. I'm not sure who makes a handle bar this diameter... but it's probably a late 60's bike design. I wound up pressing the spring pin out and only using half of the parts with zip ties to hold it onto my bike. It's a solid bike mount... if you have mechanical aptitude to make it fit your bike. For a modern design... it's not that modern. I don't think Garmin actually looked at a bicycle when they designed this. With the zip ties and mods... it seems stable and has made it through 60 road miles without issue. If you look beyond the handle bar issue... there is a shear pin / cam interface that is very solid that holds the GPS to the mount. I would think twice about mounting this on a mountain bike or anything that would see a minor bump in the road. Anything with even moderate vibration will rip this thing apart.... even after it has been re-worked to fit. Overall, 1 out of 10.. 10 being the best.. .I give this a 2. Since there is nothing else out there for mounting the 76 to a bike... your kind of stuck...If you absolutely need to mount the 76 to a bike... you can at least use 1/2 of this to get started.

Taux : - Well thought out and sturdily built, this does hold my GPS very well. It holds the GPS snugly, too snugly it seems, at least until you get the knack of how the GPS was designed to be removed, with distortion of the plastic to release it. I am quite pleased with both its design and function.

Taux : - As the owner of multiple GPS products with factory mounts, the RAM Mounting System Flat Surface Mount for the Garmin 60csx is far superior than anything I've encountered. The mount was very easy to assemble and mount on the windshield of my truck. There is no shaking/vibration of the mount. The material is high quality, rugged, and very sturdy. My 60csx fits in the mount securely and is very easy to remove. In closing, the Ram Mounting System is well worth the money.

Taux : - This mount is solid and easy to install. I'm using the setup for my Polaris Ranger RZR for off-road use and believe me, it's seeing a fair share if abuse. The cradle holds my Garmin 60CSx very well and I'm not even the least concerning of it falling out. In fact, it takes a little effort to eject the GPS from the cradle, which I like. The Ram pedestal is more than enough to hold this display steady. I would recommend this mount to anyone looking for a safe grip on their GPS device.

If you have an adjustable handlebar setup instead of the simple chrome U on most bikes you will have trouble mounting this. the rear of the clamp has a bulge that will make it not fit well between the clutch reservoir and the handlebar on many bikes.

Taux : - This mount seems to be better than the factory original. At first I was concerned that the "neck" of the mount with the knob on the end to which you attach the Garmin was stationary and didn't move up and down like the factory original. However, I have found that not having the up and down movement of the neck decreased the likelihood that it will snap off while trying to mount or dismount the unit.

I had to purchase this mount because the hinges on the neck of factory original mount snapped when my wife was trying to take the unit off the mount. This one I purchased seems to be a better design than the factory original.

Taux : - I received the suction mount with my Garmin Nuvi. In general I really like it. But I have had problems. It seems to loose suction with temperature changes. I also use my Nuvi with rental cars and when I used it in Arizona the rubber partially stuck to the windshield when I removed the suction mount. So now my suction mount looses suction frequently. I was about to purchase a replacement when I noticed the large beanbag friction mount. I'm going to give this a try. Taux : - I got this when I got my nuvi760 because I have a deep dashboard and figured (rightly) that the supplied mount would be too short. It was easy to bend the goose neck and use the swivel neck to get just the configuration I needed. So I THINK this is a fine piece of problem-solving equipment. But I never did actually mount it because I suddenly realized I had a shallow covered compartment in my dashboard (I never used for anything) that is ideal for putting the bean-baq mount into and keeping it perfectly stable. Ah well! I'm still sure the ARKON is a good deal for the money.

Taux : - Nothing special but these disc mounts don't really need to be anything spectacular. They do the job exactly as they should and are pretty useful if you need to mount your GPS on mutltiple cars.
Only bad thing about them is that they are almost permanent and will most likely damage your dashboard if you try to remove them. I myself haven't tried this yet since it really isn't a big problem and we forsee using these for a long time.

Taux : - These disks are just what you need to mount your Garmin GPS in multiple vechicles.I have them in two cars-they work as advertised-the GPS stays put-but remember, these little disks are there permanently!

Taux : - Do not buy for Street pilot C series... Also the adhesive that's not stick at all, save the money and time.

Taux : - Amazon sells this for $18.99, but Garmin shows the list price as $18 (and they sell it online for that price). Amazon above list price? And for a simple flat piece of plastic? Ouch!

Taux : - I used this product to mount my Garmin Nuvi 660 to the dash of my Tahoe, but after less than three weeks, it fell off. You can stick it back on, but once it has fallen, it never has the same grip. I suppose these things might work great on a horizontal mount, but beware if you intend to mount on a vertical surface. I've used this mount at least once a week, so I guess the wear and tear took a toll on it. Taux : - The package includes two mounts, one removable and one permanent (meaning not that it can't be removed, but that once you remove it, it can't be reused). The removable one I found to be worthless - it did not stick at all. The permanent one works better, but it still is not nearly as firm as you would expect.

Taux : - I bought this for my second car so I would not have to worry about taking the mounts with me each time I changed vehicles. I have a fixed mount in my Jeep on the center console (Garmin 7200 too big for windsheild area) and a bean bag mount in my Motorhome.

Taux : - This item is very easy to use. I move my Garmin GPS between a motorhome and two vehicles. It is strong enough to hold a large GPS mean't for motorhomes and tractor trailers in a steady position.

Taux : - While the product description says that it is compatible with the Garmin C340, it is the wrong shape and does not work.

Amazon was great in accepting the return and refunding my money.

Taux : - I use this product with my Garmin nuvi 360 and am very pleased with it. I have one for each car. I found that using a store-bought charging cord that fits straight into the side of the Nuvi, rather than the factory cord that fits in the back, permits the Nuvi to fit more securely in the bracket.

Taux : - At first I was thrilled with this mount- it is tons better than the one which came with the unit. I bought it in June and by September the suction cup no longer suctions to the windshield. I cannot understand how it would lose suction, but I tried everything.

Taux : - Sorry, I ordered the wrong item. I thought this would fit my Garmin, but unfortunately, it would not, so I returned it. I can't rate a product that I could not use.

Taux : - Once you buy this product and get the directions and applications - which aren't mentioned in the brief product description - you find that this was designed for the historic Garmins II and III. Not designed for anything newer. Has a handy pouch for storing extra alkaline batteries! Should not be recommended as a product to buy with a modern unit.

Taux : - Love this product. my suction cup kept falling off of the window, and didn't want to use anything with a suction cup, so this works great. Just place in on my dash when I need to use it and it stays in place through all twists, turns and stops.

Taux : - A velcro strip has to be placed on the bottom of the GPS unit in order to stay upright in the bean bag. Had I known this I would not have purchased it.

Taux : - I like having my GPS off the dashboard and this mount works well for that. As someone else noted you may have to "fiddle" with it a little if your vents are not stationary but the lower stabilization bar prevents downward movement.

The only thing I don't like is the inability to tilt the cradle.

Taux : - Parts are a little tight with original tom tom. I did not know that is comes in 4 pieces. Easy to assemble. Make sure that slats in your vent are stationary. There is no up down tilt like tom tom mount. If your vent moves you will have a problem getting your gps positioned correctly. My set up works but i did not check for this critical fact before ordering. I would recomend product and seller."

Taux : - It was pretty easy to put it on once i figured out which side had to go up. It actually works in a few different ways and i just had to find the ONE that worked for me best.
I like the GPS in the vent instead of using the window mount, if you have an accord you know how steep the windows are, my arms definitely aren't long enough for that... fortunately this works great!

Taux : - Attaching the GPS unit to this vent mount instead of using the suction mount that comes with the GPS has the advantage that you can take the whole thing off and put it into the glove compartment, without any visible sign of a GPS in your car. That's a great help to prevent break-ins because thieves nowadays look for traces of suction mounts or empty GPS cradles and will smash the window to check.

The vent mount requires some fiddling to get it on and off the vent, though. You have to press the clamps together with force and wiggle the mount back-and-forth to slide it over the hump. Once attached, it is reasonably stable, even on bumpy roads.

Taux : - I got this mount before I read all the reviews. It vibrates unacceptably, as others have reported. If I had not lost the packing I would have returned it. I got it because the TomTom 920 I have will not work with the Bracketron UFM-100BL using its windscreen mount. DO NOT BUY IT. If you do make sure you keep the packaging because I am sure you will want to return it.
Update:
I have now removed one end of the mount, cut the goose neck in half, and used superglue to put the end back on. The vibrations are no longer a problem, particular now the unit can be jammed against the windscreen.

Taux : - This mount worked for me on my Go 720. It seems to be a bit more rigid than I had hoped. I would have thought it would flex slightly easer. Other than that it's great

Taux : - I bought this product for Toyotal Avalon. Place it on the dashboard with my tom tom. I started driving within 5 minutes it fell off and would never stick back on. The sunction cup stinks and this product is a waste of money. Hope nobody else gets stuck with this.

The arm is not stiff enough, so the Tom Tom bounces quite a bit when driving on even relatively smooth roads.

The screws that hold the mounting plate to the arm are very small Torx screws and constantly work themselves loose. I will need to purchas a set of small Torx bits just to keep tightening these screws.

The suction cup mounting plate has a bit of 'slack' in the tension of the small rod that connects the cam to the suction cup. This also adds to the Tom Tom bouncing while driving.

Overall, I'm not very happy with the product.

Taux : - We purchased this for our TomTom 920T since we have a minivan and it was impossible to reach with the standard mount. It worked great for about a week and then the unit fell... the screws that hold it in place were loose. After finally locating the tiny things we were able to tighten just enough to have the unit workable again. (We were on vacaction). Once home we tightened them all the way yet a week after that they came loose yet again. This time breaking one of the inside pieces. We were able to Shoe Goo them back into place and hopefully this will fix the problem completely. This is a great product and was a GREAT price on Amazon but if you don't want to fuss with having to continually screw the item back together keep looking.

Taux : - Haven't wired the mount to the bike as yet(too cold). The GPS works great in the car, and am looking forward to enjoying it on the motorcycle!

Taux : - I like the security of the Garmin locking cradle to secure my GPS if I leave the bike unattended for a short while. This unit matches up to a Ram mount flange adapter for easy mounting. Ram Mount mounting parts are NOT included.
The power cable comes with a inline fuse and long lead to go back to the battery or other power source. There is also a wired standard jack for a mono earplug.
The cradle locking screw has has a special screw driver to attach the GPS. This must be kept handy to the bike for convienence to install or remove the GPS. The end on the power cable also has a plastic cover that must be kept handy to cover the power connections when not hooked to the GPS.
This is the second Garmin cradle I own (I have 2 motorcycles, one for each) for easy switching of my Garmin GPS between bikes.
I have used one of these for 3 years and a lot on miles, never had a problem with the GPS coming loose while riding, but I have a friend whom it happened to on his. He added extra security using a fishing line leader to attach the GPS to the mount for the 'just in case'.

Taux : - I got this mount specifically for the Gilsson dashboard mount. The provided connector for my Magellan fit perfectly and this thing has been as solid as could be. I haven't tried sticking the suction cup anywhere else, but I don't think it'll ever fall off the dash pillow without me releasing it. It's a great size too for this type of application. One of my other GPS mounts was too high, bumping the windshield even at it's lowest setting.

Taux : - I have a Nuvi 270 and a Navman GPS; both devices came with the windshield suction-cup mounts, which are a bit small and have problems with the weights of the devices. Both GPS and their mounts occasionally fell of the windshield and that can be both dangerous and annoying. The Bracketron has a much bigger and better (flexible) suction cup and can provide a lot more holding power. It comes with various balls and brackets that fit different GPS mount types. Highly recommended.

Taux : - I was very disappointed in the mounting. It kept falling off the dash. The suction was terrible. We finally had to glue the piece onto the disc.

Taux : - The critical limitation is the eTrex substitute back that anchors it to this mount. The substitute back is cheesy and only fits the most basic of the eTrex series (if any). It certainly does not fit the Legend models with the memory card. I cannot vouch for any other models.

The mount has many. many adjustment points, each with a knob. Too many adjustments if you ask me. Sitting on the dash, it looks like a Rube Goldberg device from Mars. Really strange and old fashioned looking.

Taux : - As other reviews have mentioned, it doesn't fit units with removable MMC card in the battery compartment, the instruction does mention that the original back cover has to be used, and needed to be screwed to the base of the mount structure. Well I did find out the screw, but it doesn't fit to the screw hole of my GPS unit. I had to get to a hardware store to find out the matching screw.
I'm surprise there weren't a lot of people complaining about this design defect. Just a warning that if you have a MMC capable units, better double check.

Taux : - Mount works good. I have it in my truck using the temporary mounting adhesive. It holds real well and I haven't tried taking it off of my dash. Will be interesting to see how the adhesive holds up in the winter when the temperatures dip down below 0 deg. F.

Taux : - It works well, but does allow a little vibration. The reason is two things...the first is its "fold up" design. The mere fact that it has to "fold up", makes it pron to amplify vibration.

The second is the way it mounts to the base plate. Even when locked, the mount can still move up and down slightly. This movement will amplify at the unit due to leverage.

Dont get me wrong...it works well, I would have like to se it tighter tho.

Taux : - I highly recommend getting the auto-mount if you get the eTrex Legend Cx. It is easy to attach to the car dashboard. The only reason I am not giving it a full 5 stars is because I have a Jeep Liberty and the sticky stuff that it came with did not want to stick to the textured dashboard near the heater blowers.

Taux : - The item was received in a bulk pack (plastic bag) and did not include instructions although it was easy to figure out. The lower "leg" has two positions plus the leg can be removed and reinstalled backward giving a little more flexibility. Once installed I was afraid the lower leg would bounce out of position when driving but it has not done so. The weight of the Tom Tom unit seems sufficient to hold it in place.

Unlike another reviewer, I found the adapter plate on my unit fits snugly into both my Tom Tom and to the mount itself. Although mounted to an a/c vent, you will not lose the use of that vent (at least I didn't), my Tom Tom sits far enough out that there is still plenty of room for air flow around it. On my vent, I did lose the capability of adjusting the vent vertically, but still retain side-to-side adjustment.

If your vents are very narrow top to bottom you may find after mounted that your Tom Tom points too far skyward. By using the 2nd set of adjustment holes I was able to position mine at a good angle. Once mounted you can adjust the mounted Tom Tom to the left or right but there is no adjustment up or down. I have a moonroof in my car and the light coming through the glass or when the glass is retracted can make the Tom Tom hard to see. With the solid sunshade closed it is fine.

Taux : - I like this product because it is adaptable for different bases and mounts. The suction cup holds tight and all the parts are high quality. It adjusts to different positions easily and the holder for the unit fits tightly so it won't bounce out.

If I had to complain about anything, it would be the some what difficulty in getting the GPS into the holder. It was very easy to position and reposition. It tilted easily, held the expensive GPS very safely. At first the thought the price was a little high but now I think it was right on the money and was a very worthy purchase.

It's not compact but the reach this unit offers really makes it easy to find a good position for the not so small gps underneath a sloped windshield and once installed doesn't look too big relative to the dash of the car.

My only complaint is that removing the gps from the mount is a two hand affair, not easy at all. You have to pry the 2 wings away from each other to allow the gps to slide out of the bracket. When I want to stow the gps when parked I just remove the whole assembly from the windshield. That makes for a bit more work when setting the thing back up.

Taux : - which isn't too long. In fact, only about 200 miles or so. After 36 hours of setting up the adhesive (and I am in the adhesives business!) it should have been ready to use. Driving down the hiway I heard a clatter and clunk and, poof, gone.

I see it went from $[...] bucks at Amazon to $[...] thru a market place seller. But even for a saw buck it is expensive if it flies off the car.

To Amazon's credit, they of course took it (the remaining parts) back. But strike against Midland, who wasn't there for 3100 miles of my trip due to poor engineering and design.

Taux : - This through the glass unit performed well enough for my needs as I am only looking for local traffic tie-up information of close-by autos....the problem is that it will not stay on the windshield....I am on my third unit in an attempt to get it to stay on permanently instead of a few weeks....the first one was put on by professional installers of all my 3rd party electronics ... have dealt with them for years as they do excellent work...it fell off and was lost after about 10 days....the second one I put on myself...and followed the directions to an exact degree....including the heating of the glue with a hair dryer for 4 minutes....cleaning the windshield as directed etc etc....using silicon to seal the unit further...this one stayed on for more than a month and then fell off and was lost....the third one was supplied to me directly by Midland at no charge, much to their credit....I havent tried putting on the third one yet because of the weather...I have my fingers crossed....would I buy this again....definitely not.....probably no through the glass units from anyone else either...............

Taux : - I purchased a Garmin nuvi 880 GPS recently and received this mounting kit. It includes the suction cup mount, a cradle to mount the GPS onto, and a dashboard disk. The suction cup mount works very well, holding the unit securely. I had no problems mounting it to the windshield of my car. The end of it has a ball which the cradle snaps onto and allows the cradle, and GPS mounted to it, to swivel, much like a rear view mirror, so you can adjust it for best viewing. The right side of the cradle has a socket into which the MSN Direct Receiver, which I received with the GPS, plugs into. The other end of the MSN Direct Receiver plugs into the car's accessories socket (or cigarette lighter, if you will) keeping the rechargeable battery in the GPS charged. The dashboard disk has a very sticky pad on one side so it can be stuck to the dashboard. The other side is a smooth surface to which the suction cup mount can be mounted if mounting it to a windshield is not allowable. I've had no need for it so it remains stored until I do have a need for it. Because I have 2 cars I needed a second kit so I wouldn't have to transfer the mount between cars. I wanted each car to have its own mount so I could easily transfer the GPS from one car to the other. I ordered it through Amazon.com at a good price, and it works just as well.

No more driving down the road and getting startled when the GPS falls off the windshield and almost causing an accident. This Mini Windshield Mount from Arkon does the job and does it well. For $10, it is a steal. Buy this and you'll be happy you did.

Taux : - Same crap as the original mount. Works for about 2 weeks, the constantly falls off the windshield. It doesn't seem like it should be that difficult to come up with a decent mount, and I was optimistic based on the other review but this one has the same problems.

Taux : - I own three car type GPS's and the one I use the most is my Tom Tom. Well, as many of you know the Tom Tom does NOT come with a decent mount. The mount with the Tom Tom literally is a piece of junk that doesn't stay "connected" to your dash or windshield. So, I searched for a replacement mount and thought I would try this one. It is perfect! It has a suction cup type base with a latch that literally locks it to the windshield or your dash mount. I have had mine mounted with GPS attached for weeks and it has not come off yet. It has two separate adjustments for positioning and it extends about 8 inches or so which puts the GPS closer to you for viewing. I cannot say enough about this GPS mount! You won't be disappointed with your purchase.

Taux : - Working better than factory mount which did not have a lever on it. Well worth the price even if it only lasts a year or two. Good fit. Cons: The swivel does not have a good range of motion.

Taux : - I bought this mount so that I could attach my new TomTom 730 to the Braketron beanbag mount for the dashboard of my car. (The supplied windshield mount won't let you mount it on a dashboard in a way that lets you see the screen). The mount is quite adjustable vertically. The end that attaches to the GPS allows some sideways movement and a small amount of fore and aft tilt. It comes with three different mounting plates for different brands of GPS devices. Check the company web site to see if this mount is suitable for your GPS. Sadly it does not solidly connect to my TomTom GO 730 (which is why I gave it a 3 - it would probably rate higher with a different device). Although the GPS will attach to it, it does not take much effort to pop the GPS off of the mount (say when you're trying to fine tune the angle of view and your hand happens to push the GPS).

Taux : - If I had seen the product first hand, I would not have bought it at all. I do most of my driving on back country roads with lots of potholes and I dont feel that my Garmin 72 is really secured in it's mount because of all it's weight pivoting on that small piece of plastic. Maybe for $10 I'll consider buying it again.

Taux : - This unit is a very basic one that mounts on the dash or else where by adhesive patch. One patch is supposed to be a temperary one and that works just like junk. If it gets very hot in the car the whole thing comes down. I had to the resort to the permanent mount which I really didn't want to do. But that work just fine and was just used on a 2500 mile trip tp Yellowstone NP. I would not purchase another one like this, even though it did the job. Under other conditions it probably would have been just right for the job.

Taux : - item fits all sizes of iPods, but it uses an adjustable arm to do so, which does not look like it will survive extended usage. The item doesn't even work, anyway. No charge, no radio transmission. Fresh out of the box too. We are looking into our car charger to more fully explore the nature of the problem, but had i known about the "adjustability" factor earlier, i wouldn't have bought this item.

Taux : - I've been using this mount in my car for almost a year now and it has held up well. I like the fact the holder comes off the base so it can be used in other vehicles with other bases. I use it on a beanbag style base in my wifes van and that setup works good too.
The reason the mount only gets four stars from me is the fact that it is difficult, and sometimes takes two hands, to put the GPS in and to remove it when using the cigarette plug power cord.

Taux : - This bracket has a lot of adjustability, except you cannot swivel the bracket so that the GPS is rotated toward the driver if the bracket faces straight toward the back of the vehicle. Instead, I had to mount the bracket slightly angled, then rotate the vertical rotation of the GPS so that it's straight vertical. Also, the back plate provided with the bracket does not fit my Venture CX, though I have the adaptor provided with the GPS itself, so I don't need the plate provided. I like that it's compact, compared with the one I use with a Magellan Meridian, and that it doesn't seem to need water to keep it attached securely, like the Meridian's bracket. The Meridian bracket, though, will allow me to attach it quickly, and doesn't need an extra piece to secure it to the bracket, but snaps right in, which the additional piece required by the Venture makes the Venture less comfortable to carry when I get out of the vehicle to head to the cache.
Pros:

Easy to install securly without having to moisten the suction cup.
Cons:
Needs a vertical rotation ability so that it can face the driver.
Additional piece needed to attach the GPS.
Not perfectly compatible with Cx series GPS units.

Taux : - So far I have really enjoyed having this mount. Before I would just lay the GPS on the dash. This is a great improvement. There is alot of adjustment to allow for just about any angle. I would recommend mounting close to the dashboard to provide additional support.

Taux : - If you have a -CX based eTrex (legend or vista) model, the cover plate will not fit due to the grove that is built in to accommodate the micro SD card. Instead, I recommend getting a RAM mount: RAM Mounting Systems Handlebar Mount for Garmin eTrex Venture C, Legend C, Vista C, Venture CX, Legend CX, Vista CX

Taux : - I am an avid geocacher and use this with my Garmin GPS. It works great. Just clean your windshield with some windex, moisten the suction cup and attach! It holds my GPS securely and allows me to look at my GPS without interfering with my vision.

Taux : - I recently purchased an eTrex Vista HCx and since it doesn't fit my dash mount for my 60Cs I needed another mount for my car. I purchased the windshield mount after reading positive reviews here.

My impression after a month or so is that it works fine. I put it on and haven't removed it. It still holds solidly and with surprising little shake. I'm hoping the exposure to sunlight doesn't eventually render the suction cup brittle and useless but so far so good.

I didn't rate the holder five stars because it is too expensive, it should cost about 1/2 or even 1/3 the price.

Taux : - It works with a 3.5" flat GPS. Its a little tight where the cord exits the GPS and at first I couldn't get the proper angle for seeing well but after fussing with it for a little while it seems to work just fine.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying the COMBINATION. After reading the many reviews warning about using Just the swivel mount, I decided on the combo offered by Amazon. I had been using a cell-phone holder to place my GPS on my dash. THE PROBLEM: every mildly sharp curve, or big bump in the road sent it sliding across(or off) the dash. I found myself holding on to it most of the time. I did NOT even try the swivel mount alone, as it must have a flat, smooth surface to adhear(temporary OR permanent)! SO FAR, WITH THE 3-FINGER FRICTION MOUNT, I HAVE YET TO HAVE IT MOVE!! (I drive a 4-wheel drive Yukon, both on and off-road while Geocaching). VERY ADJUSTABLE! My wife said this is the BEST thing I have bought in a long time, as I don't get mad at the GPS anymore. She said she would gladly have paid $155.00, not the $55.80 it cost just to have the PEACE OF MIND!

It's simple but versatile. The display on the GPS can be tilted forward/backward, rotated clockwise/ccw and spun on the base. More than I need for my dashboard use. Taux : - I have this mount on my Vulcan 1600 for the map10. It works Great!!! but.. The vibration killed the GPS unit after 29,560 miles, about 3 years.

Taux : - Just a note because I found this confusing when shopping for a motorcycle mount for my Garmin eTrex Legend cx. You do not need to purchase the Garmin Bicycle Mount with this product. Just purchase this large rail mount adapter, and attach the GP mount adapter that comes in the box with your GPS device. That's all you need. Haven't ridden with it yet, but the large Diameter Rail Mount Adapter fits my HD Dyna handlebar great. Easy to install, GPS snaps right in.

Taux : - If you have a Garmin eTrex Vista HCx GPS, do not buy Garmin's bike mount because it does not fit. Buy this rail mount instead to mount the GPS on a bicycle handlebar. The adapter that comes with the Vista HCx clips right in to this rail mount.

Unfortunately, this mount is not as secure as the mount Garmin makes for their Edge GPS units and it only allows you to mount the GPS on your handlebar, not on the stem.

There is also a small diameter version for thinner handlebars (like many mountain bikes): Garmin Rail Mount Adapter (010-10496-01)

Taux : - For serious riders who have more than one bike this is perfect. My touring bike has the smaller diameter handlebar while my road bike has the larger diameter handlebar. I needed two adapters but only one mount. Great price too!

Taux : - My metric cruiser has 32mm diameter handlebars and this fit just fine. If you're like me, you'll want to install an additional safety strap. If you intstall it correctly, you can still access the metal hook on the back of your Garmin and run a safety strap through it and around your handlebars. The only "real" issue is trying to touch that tiny button on the GPS while doing 80 mph (not recommended).

Taux : - After the first all-plastic windshield mount (by Garmin) for my 60CSx broke, I purchased this RAM unit as a replacement.
This product is well built, heavier, and has a sturdy suction device.
The Garmin unit used a thin plastic lever to generate the suction, and it inevitably broke. This will not happen with the RAM system.
Where the other unit was difficult to adjust to suit my viewing, this one is easy.
Where the other device allowed vibration and jiggling of the GPS while driving, this one keeps the GPS completely still.
I highly recommend the RAM system.

Taux : - I ordered this product the RAM Mounting System for my new Garmin handheld GPS. It is very sturdy and easy to mount in my vehicle. It did not come with instructions to put it together but I easily figured how to put in together. My gps fits great in it and it doesn't move any while driving. The only complaint I have is that one of the holes on the mounting unit was not drilled through so I could only put one of the screws with the lock nut in. That is why I only gave it 4 stars. I am going to fix this myself though I recommend if any body else gets one like that they should send it back if you don't have the proper equipment to fix the problem. All in all good product for the price and fast shipping.

Taux : - I bought this remote because I installed a fixed mount on the center console of my Jeep. The Garmin 7200 is too big for the windshield area and I wanted to make sure I could get a good signal for the Garmin. Works excellent. I use the Garmin 7200 in my motor home and I do not need the remote antenna in that vehicle.

Taux : - I mainly bought this so I could install my 2610 GPS in my dash. It works better than the internal antenna.

Taux : - I have yet to loose the connection to the satillites with this item. I only use it when I drive the SUV or the MiniVan.

Taux : - This remote antenna for my Garmin GPS works just as advertised - and I cannot say that for many products. The ONLY improvement I would recommend is modifying the included mount so it could be used on either the windshield or the dash.

It worked right out of the box - and is easy to assemble with the mount.
